Frequently asked Questions

So many things come to mind when making a decision about having your photos taken. What’s the process like? What can I expect in regards to preparation help, time lines and payment? To help you get some of your questions answered right away, please have a look at the following frequently asked questions about your photo session. If you’re looking for something specific, the search function will help you find it.

  • Dreamy, yet bold. I love a natural base with some rich deep colors. Furthermore I absolutely love to include nature as an element in your photos as I feel it allows for exploration and space to enjoy yourself without distractions.

  • I mainly specialize in couples (including elopement) and families (including motherhood/maternity) but I also offer individual portrait sessions (including boudoir) as well as personal branding photography.

  • Yes, absolutely!

I strive to create a safe and inclusive environment for all of my clients and I am committed to creating beautiful and authentic images that reflect your unique spirit and personality. I have photographed people of all backgrounds, ethnicities, religions, sexual orientation and body types - you’re all welcome in front of my lens.

However, I will not photograph you and/or will stop the session if you physically discipline a child in my presence or are verbally abusive to me or anyone else in the vicinity.

Sharing the same values is crucial to a positive outcome of your photos. If you’re looking for a type of service you don’t see displayed here on my website, I’m probably not the right photographer for you.

  • That's easy! All you need to do is go to the contact tab and leave me a message and I will get back with you as soon as I can. My schedule tends to fill up quickly, so the sooner you get in touch, the more likely it is that we can schedule your preferred date. We’ll schedule a quick consultation (either on the phone or in person) and once you’ve decided that we’re a good fit, you will receive your contract and the payment of a 50 € deposit will lock in your session date!

  • My sessions include our time spent together during your pre-session consultation and your customized session, dress rental from the client wardrobe, as well as editing and delivery of your photos (high resolution JPEG files) through an online gallery. All prices include 19% sales tax.

  • Every session is different and might call for specific locations. I’m a big fan of outdoor sessions, especially if children are involved - it gives us room to run around and will also give us more variety for backdrops. Open fields are my most recommended locations as there are no distractions, no other people and we can fully embrace the moment. However, if you prefer a more private setting, your home might be a great option as well to add some personality to your session.

  • This depends on a few factors. I would recommend booking at least two months in advance to lock in your desired date. If you have a specific date by which you need your images, make sure to communicate that with me and plan ahead so I can do my best to meet your requirement. Other than that, when you book is up to you!

  • While most of my sessions take place outdoors, we can always take photographs at your house. It will add so much more personality and meaning to your photos!

  • That’s the ultimate question when it comes to preparing for your session. Have a look at my styling and preparation guide which covers everything about outfits and styling. You will also receive a more detailed guide once you book your session.

  • Yes! I have a client wardrobe with lots of dresses for women and a slowly growing selection for children as well. You’re more than welcome to stop by and try on some pieces and you can borrow something for your session.

  • If you like to change outfits, that’s absolutely OK with me. All I ask is that you keep in mind that the time it takes for you to change does count toward your session time. Also, I wouldn’t recommend to change outfits too often for younger children as it can upset them.

  • Typically, sessions are scheduled around 1-2 hours before sunset, which can vary drastically depending on the time of the year. It is always worth shooting late to get that dreamy golden light. If you feel you cannot shoot into the evening, you can opt for an in-home session earlier in the day. However, if you’re looking for that magic golden light in your photos, this just can not be achieved in the middle of the day.

  • In general, we’ll take as much time we need, to get a nice variety for your images.  In most cases, session last between 1-2 hours. If you have small children, I understand that their attention span might be shorter.

  • Don’t you worry, I got this. My sessions are very play-based. While we aim to get a few (very few) nice posed, family shots I also give kids a chance to play and be silly. If your kid is shy, I will meet them where they are. Outgoing? I’ll be there as well and mostly let them run the show. I love to capture all the little details of your children that makes them unique and show them in their current stage of life. No matter how silly, shy or rowdy :) Instead of telling your child they are going to get pictures taken, say they get to go on a little adventure and a fun lady will be there with a camera.

  • Just come alone with your kids! Honestly, I’d rather have you and your kiddos having a good time alone then having a grumpy dad spreading negative vibes as it will take away the fun for the kids (and you) and it will ultimately show in your photos and the last thing I want is for you to leave your session annoyed and disappointed. Do not miss a chance to be in a photo with your kids. You will treasure those mementos (as will your kids) in a few years as you look back on how small they were. Please do not bring husbands or fathers who don’t want to be there to my sessions. Happy participation is required by all adults.

  • Absolutely! Our pets are also family members and therefore shouldn’t be left out of the family photos. If you wish to include your pet in your session, please let me know in advance, so I can make sure that your location will allow for it.

  • I understand that people get sick and that the weather can change, so I always plan in advance. If you, or someone in your crew, gets sick, we can reschedule for another date. The same is true for rainy days or non-ideal weather. You’ll find further conditions in your contract.

  • “Oh, you can just fix that in Photoshop, right?!?” - well, yes and no.

I hand edit every single image of your photo session. The process includes but is not limited to basic exposure and color adjustments, cropping and artistic enhancements.

However - If you wish for a more in depth edit, let’s talk about it beforehand so we’re on the same page. Extensive retouch such as but not limited to beauty retouch, object removal or sky replacements might be available for addintional charge.

  • The waiting game is never any fun. For that reason, I work diligently to get your photos to you as fast as I can. Your photos are usually ready for you within two to three weeks.

  • Your digital images will be delivered through an online gallery. To access your images, you will receive a link to your email. From there, you can easily download your images to your computer or mobile device or share them with one click with family and friends. No more hassle with CDs or USB drives.

  • My regular sessions include digital high resolution JPEG files. If you wish prints or other heirloom products such as albums or wall art, you can always purchase them separately directly through your photo gallery. I also have some beautiful samples on hand if you want to see for yourself!

  • Of course! I absolutely love to see you share your images on social media - I’d just kindly ask you for photo credit :)

  • Yes, I do! Contact me and we'll discuss the details. Travel fee will apply (1,00 € additional per driven km outside a 20 km radius from location 66879 Reichenbach-Steegen, Germany).

  • For an additional fee, you can book a location further out than the regular radius (< 20 km from Reichenbach-Steegen). If you wish a more in-depth retouch service, please let me know ahead of time and I will create an individual quote depending on your request. Heirloom products such as albums and wall art can be purchased separately directly through your gallery.

  • Yes, I just recently launched my brand new mentoring program. Please find all info about my mentor sessions here!

  • Yes, a non-refundable retainer of 50,- € is required to secure your session date. The retainer will be applied towards your overall session balance. The remaining balance is due on your session day. The retainer payment is not refundable if a session is cancelled (less than 5 days) or rescheduled (less than 48 hrs) before the booked session date. Exceptions can apply.

  • Yes, absolutely! Please let me know in advance if you would like to use a VAT form and save yourself 19% sales tax!

  • I do! I understand that photographs are an investment and paying in one lump isn't always possible. I can offer a weekly, monthly or quarterly payment plan, but we can work together if something else might work better for you. Just keep in mind that your desired products or packages will not be released until full payment has been received and VAT forms can not be applied to a payment plan.

  • Just give me a call or shoot me a message here, and I’m happy to help!
